Drive an Ambulance
The COSI Clinic has many of props for junior doctors, helicopter pilots, and ambulance drivers. Check out the Infant, Toddler, and Preschooler Activities:
Infant ActivitiesYoung babies enjoy hearing the sounds and seeing the sights that are going on around them. When you talk with your baby, first speaking and then pausing for a response, you are teaching conversation skills. Older babies who are moving around on their own will enjoy exploring the clinic.
Giving them the freedom to explore helps them to build a sense of their own abilities and the confidence to investigate and discover what is happening in the environment.
Toddler ActivitiesYoung toddlers are just starting to pretend. They use real objects to imitate and reproduce the events they have witnessed and experienced. Playing in the clinic with your young toddler may make a visit to the doctor easier, as this play will make the trip a more familiar experience.
Older toddlers use pretend to make sense of their world or to figure out things that are scary or unfamiliar. Their pretend play gives them a sense of power over their own lives. Pretending to be the doctor who gives the shot lets the toddler work through this scary event.
Preschooler ActivitiesPreschoolers often engage in complex play with different children taking on various roles. Your child may use the items in the clinic to invent elaborate stories about doctors, nurses, families, and sick babies.
