1) How much does it cost?

View the Hours, Rates and Payment page for more details.  An adult chaperone that is not part of a group's reservation will need to pay general admission upon their arrival at COSI.

2) What can we do while we are there?

COSI’s exhibits, shows and workshops are closely aligned to the Ohio Academic Content Standards for Science.  View the latest information on what COSI has to offer.  If you require further assistance, email fieldtrips@mail.cosi.org. Download scavenger hunts and view our live shows!

3) How early can we arrive?

Reserved groups may arrive as early as a half hour before the building opens, if requested at the time of reservation.  View COSI's hours of operation.

4) Where do we park?

Bus drivers will be given a parking pass upon arrival, which will give them access to the gravel lot just west of Belle Street. Chaperones who have driven separately in cars will need to park in the North Lot on the West side of COSI. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Upon entry chaperones should go up one level to the East bus drop off on the Mezzanine. Please note that credit cards are not accepted as payment for parking.

5) What can I do to make the check in process run smoothly?

  • Have an accurate headcount of all members of your group.
  • Pay in advance or bring a check, credit card, or Purchase Order.  DO NOT have each student bring money to pay individually.
  • Have lunches stored in large, labeled boxes.
  • Pass out wristbands, nametags, schedules, and/or worksheets before you leave school.

6) What do we do with our lunches?

Please pack all of your lunches into a cardboard box with your group’s name on it.  Bring the boxes with you into the building and drop them off on the lunch carts.  The COSI Team will deliver them to your lunchroom for you.  Refrigerators and microwaves are NOT available for use at COSI.

7) What do we do with our coats?

If at all possible, we suggest leaving your coats and bags on the buses.  If you do need to bring them into the building, the COSI Team will help you store coats in large lockers.  COSI will provide quarters for one-time access to the lockers.  Once the locker has been opened, you will need to pay 50 cents to lock it.
