Field Trip Workshops

Focus your students on the science Ohio Achievement Test (OAT) or the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) with a new interactive student workshop. Workshops are available for grade levels PreK-12. All workshops align to respective Ohio Academic Content Standards.

Workshops for Grades 1-12 are 45 minutes and accommodate up to 40 students at a time. Preschool and Kindergarten Workshops are 45 minutes and accommodate up to 20 students. View prices for workshops.

Preschool Field Trip Workshops (Ages 3-5)

Space!





Explore stars and rockets with imagination and science! Launch alka-seltzer rockets, make space helmets, and create constellations. Includes free exploration of little kidspace.

Make It Go!

Focus on the forces that move objects. Learn about simple machines by playing with pulleys, ramps, and catapults. Includes free exploration of little kidspace.

Roller Coaster Challenge:





Explore force and motion by building your own roller coaster. Put the force of gravity to work in COSI's marble challenge! Includes free exploration of little kidspace.

Magnet Fun:

Explore the properties of magnets. Use the "power of the pull" to move model cars and trains, go magnet fishing, and make a magnet detector! Includes free exploration of little kidspace.

Spy Intelligence:




Crack codes and determine "whodunit" by using process skills, scientific inquiry, and intuition to solve a mystery.

Build-a-Bird: 
 
How do birds fly? Learn how adaptations, body structure, aerodynamics, and environments affect the flight of birds.

Tech & Culture: Explore how innovations in science and technology shape us as human beings.

Design Challenge: Invention occurs when you have a problem and need a gadget to solve it. Learn how design, marketing, and finance bring the best ideas to life.

     Technology: Design A.8.2

Force & Motion: Hang on tight! Explore the fundamentals of physical sciences and applications of Newton's Laws.

Grades 9 ~ 12

Collision Physics: 

Getting an object to move is only part of the physics equation. Stopping is just as important!

     Mathematics: Geometry and Spatial Sense 12.4

Force & Motion: Students have the chance to more deeply explore the fundamentals of physics and high school mathematics.
