About the Dome Theater

Three fantastic shows will be displayed in our 221 seat Dome Theater. The theater features comfortable stadium seating and a unique, tilted 60-foot projection dome.

Tickets are $4.00 per person, per show. Show lengths are 35-40 minutes.

Holiday Music Magic:

Holiday Music Magic features a variety of festive classics from Mannheim Steamroller and Burl Ives to Brenda Lee. The soundtrack is visually enhanced with 3-D artistic animation, laser imagery, and all-dome scenery in the audiovisual setting of COSI’s Dome Theatre. The program is a fun and entertaining experience for all audiences, particularly families.

Mystery of the Christmas Star:

Mystery of the Christmas Star takes audiences on a journey back 2000 years to Bethlehem to discover a possible scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus. This program investigates recorded sightings of significant astronomical events during the time of the birth of Christ. Investigators will see which of these signs in the sky could have been remarkable enough to cause the wise men to travel across the desert from Babylon just to see a newborn King. This modern retelling of the Christmas story is sure to charm and captivate audiences of all ages.

Universe:

Universe gives us a historical look at how we have envisioned the universe though the ages. We visit some of the ancient sites where our ancestors erected great structures with special astronomical significance. Finally we look at the Universe through the eyes of today's science and space explorers to build up a spectacular overview of the heavens.
