Field Trip Workshops

COSI In The Classroom Traveling Workshops

You can now bring several of COSI’s popular Field Trip Workshops right into your central Ohio classroom. These traveling versions of our workshops last one hour for up to 35 students at a time and are facilitated in your classroom by a COSI educator. Pre-visit materials are provided.

Price: $150 for the first class; $100 for additional same-topic classes (scheduled back-to-back). Please call COSI at 614.228.2674 for reservations and program availability.

Magnets Are Fun Grades K-3

 
Discover how the world around us pushes, pulls, drops, soars, and has its up and downs in a variety of hands-on activities. Your students develop an understanding of magnetic forces by building and racing a maglev train.

Stay Healthy

Discover how our bodies protect us from germs and what we can do to keep germs from making us sick. Available early 2010.

A Visit from George Washington Carver
Grades 1-6
Bring a famous African-American scientist into your classroom. “Dr. Carver” (played by Leonard “Mr. COSI” Sparks) will describe his life and times, and will engage your students in a science experiment.

Spy Intelligence  Grades 3-6
