Inquiry Into Watersheds

October 15 and November 6, 2010 (8am – 4pm)
Recommended for teachers of grades 3–8
Dive in and explore the banks of the Scioto River as we examine just how watersheds work. Build connections for your students to their local watersheds and enhance their knowledge of watersheds through engaging inquiry-based activities that are classroom-ready and explore “Lily Pad,” COSI’s newest exhibition area focusing on watersheds. Topics include: the water cycle, watershed dynamics, geology, macro-invertebrate sampling, chemical analysis, stream morphology, and more.
