1) When can I have an event at COSI? 2) When can I reserve a date for my event? 3) What happens if I need to change my event date after it is reserved? 4) Will COSI provide staff for my event? 5) Is COSI involved in the planning of my event? 6) Can I add a science demonstration to my event? 7) Where should my guests park? 1) When can I have an event at COSI? COSI is open to facility rental 7 days per week during the day and late evening hours. COSI is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday between 10am and 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 6pm and on occasional Monday and Tuesdays. COSI's non-exhibit areas are available for private rental during operating hours; exhibit areas are available for private rental only during non-business hours. We suggest scheduling events no earlier than 6:30pm to allow time for setup in exhibit areas. 2) When can I reserve a date for my event? Requests to reserve space at COSI are accepted up to one year in advance of the event date. A requested date will be held for up to ten business days prior to the receipt of a signed contract and deposit. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis only. 3) What happens if I need to change my event date after it is reserved? COSI will transfer your deposit if the event is moved to a different available date within the same year. If you should decide to cancel the event, your deposit is 100% refundable as long as the event is canceled at least 90 days prior to the event date. If you cancel 46-89 days prior, COSI will return 50% of your deposit. In the event you should cancel 45 days or less before the event date, your deposit will be forfeited. 4) Will COSI provide staff for my event? COSI provides staff based on specific event needs to efficiently service the event. This cost is included in the rental price, and in many cases COSI may be able to provide volunteers to assist with special tasks such as coat check. 5) Is COSI involved in the planning of my event? The rental fee includes a dedicated event coordinator that will service your total event needs and ensure your event is successful. 6) Can I add a science demonstration to my event? Specially trained exhibition experts can provide demonstrations associated with spaces rented. Inquire about details when planning the event with COSI's Event Sales Team. 7) Where should my guests park? Ample parking is available adjacent to COSI. The city’s parking lots adjacent to COSI accommodate more than 600 vehicles directly west of the building. Parking in these lots is $5 per day or $4 after 5pm. Riverfront Parking Operations has an Auto Cashier system in the North parking lot (the lot in front of COSI near Broad Street) when COSI is closed to the general public or after hours at a flat rate of $4.
