Applied Analysis Inc. - Booth #823
Applied Analysis Inc. (AAI) of Billerica MA, would like to invite you to visit us at the ERDAS
booth in the military area of the 2000 ESRI User Conference. There you will see the latest
in our industry leading, remote sensing classification software, the IMAGINE Subpixel Classifier
Version 8.4. AAI and ERDAS have just released this major upgrade, making the Subpixel Classifier
fully compatible with the IMAGINE 8.4 product line. AAI is planning to demonstrate the power of the new release of the Subpixel Classifier in a
number of military/intelligence detection and classification scenarios. These include the
identification of mass fires in Kosovo, detection of camouflaged vehicles in arid terrain,
and others.
The IMAGINE Subpixel Classifier is a fully integrated plug-in module to ERDAS IMAGINE. It
detects materials in an image, even when they occupy fractions of a pixel, and it estimates
the amount of material of interest contained in each pixel. Subpixel Classifier provides higher
levels of discrimination and classification accuracy than other classifiers, and allows signatures
to be reused in other images without complicated atmospheric corrections. A version of Subpixel
Classifier is also available in the COSMEC Workbench, a government-controlled workstation for the
spectral intelligence community.

GIS Technology, Inc. (GTI) - Booth #431
GIS MEETS DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT. GIS Technology, Inc. (GTI) has developed
a family of software products that any organization can use to integrate
geographic information system (GIS) with integrated document management
(IDM). GTI's interface software links users of ESRI's GIS products to
FileNET's Panagon integrated document management. Combining these
technologies creates what we call "spatially enabled documents", which
retain their traditional characteristics but gain location and spatial
relationship as new attributes. Regardless of whether your existing
system is GIS centric, CAD centric or document centric, your users will
benefit from this technology. Plan your calendar events to include
attending the presentation given by Andrew D. Swenson, City of
Indianapolis; "Mapping your Documents: Issues Integrating GIS with
Document Management". The City of Indianapolis is currently using
GTI's IDM for ArcView GIS to integrate their GIS and document management
systems.
IMPLEMENTING ArcInfo 8. GTI can assist your organization in quickly and
efficiently implementing ArcInfo 8. GTI is one of the few firms in the GIS
industry that has hands-on experience in implementing ArcInfo 8. Stop by and talk to
our experienced staff members.

Tadpole-Cartesia - Booth #226
The Tadpole-Cartesia, the software division of Tadpole Technology, provides mobile
mapping solutions that allow companies with large field work forces to save time and
money by improving the quality of data, improving customer service and by increasing the
field force’s productivity and efficiency. Tadpole-Cartesia’s Conic family of products
address all the needs of a field workforce: access, collection, verification and update of
spatially related information. All the job critical information is made available to the
worker in the field where up-to-date and accurate data is imperative for both safety and
efficiency.
This is accomplished by extending the company’s GIS system to the field while also
integrating with the critical BackOffice systems such as Work Management, Asset
Management and Billing. With a choice of Visual Basic or JAVA, the solution can be
customized to meet the specific need of the client both in architecture and functionality.
Our Enterprise Field Server coordinates and manages information workflow to and from
the field interfacing with existing Back-Office corporate systems allowing full two-way
communication (wireless or via modem) between the field and the client’s base of
operation.
U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service - Booth #640
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service - National Wetlands Inventory
(NWI) invites you to visit them in booth 640 of the ESRI UC2000
user conference. The National Wetlands Inventory(NWI) has
launched a Wetlands Interactive Mapper, making over 1,000,000
square miles of digital wetlands data viewable by anyone with
access to the Internet. It is a web-based, browser-driven system
that will allow you to view digital wetlands data, conduct simple
processing (e.g., zoom, pan, identify, etc.) and print a custom
map on your desk top printer, among other features To use the
mapper, you must have a web browser, Netscape 4.x or Internet
Explorer 4.01 work best.
The goal of the mapper is to provide information to meet the
public's needs concerning their local wetlands and deepwater
habitats. It will help people identify potential opportunities
and potential problems, set goals, and determine the actions
necessary to maintain or improve the "livability" of their
communities.
As always NWI makes all their data holding, currently over 23,500
1:24000 scale wetland map data files available for downloading
free on the Internet. These files are available in Arc/Info
coverage format. The Wetlands Mapper and these data can be found
at http://wetlands.fws.gov.
