Denver (March 29, 2000) - At GITA, DENVER (March 27, 2000) Smallworld (Nasdaq: SWLDY), the leading global provider of network software products, today announced that Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Wisconsin Gas Company has selected the unique Smallworld Internet Server to provide online new service applications to customers.

“The Internet is becoming the new pipeline utilities are using to reach their customers,” said C. “Smallworld Internet Server will enable us to improve our customer service by allowing customers and building contractors to request gas service directly over the Internet around the clock,” said Rich Nehm, Supervisor, Geographic Information Systems at Wisconsin Gas. “We expect the system to be up and running by June, providing our customers with a convenient new avenue to reach us.”
