Infant Workshops

For children ages 6-17 months.

COSI’s Infant Workshops are designed for infants and their favorite adult to explore their environment through hands-on sensory activities that help develop social, cognitive, and motor skills and allow for creative expression. COSI’s Infant Workshops meet once for one hour inside little kidspaceTM on COSI’s Level 2 and include a brief excursion to another part of COSI.

Interactive Videoconferencing

Science Delivered at the Speed of Light. Videoconferencing connects your students with scientists, doctors, and experts in their fields with a LIVE interactive two-way experience with your school or from COSI.

Intermediate Robotics

Become part of an engineering team and create basic programming for a robot using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS robotics system. Lasts one hour and accommodates 35 students.

  • Grade Level: Grades 6-8

In Depth: Autopsy

Follow a videotape of an actual autopsy accompanied by live narration by a forensic pathologist. Participants must work through the "case" and solve for cause of death.

  • Grade Levels: Grades 10-Adult

Investigating Energy

With the help of Dr. Kilowatt, learn about creating energy with both renewable and non-renewable resources. Plus test the power of wind, learn about energy conservation, and explore how sound waves can locate underground energy sources.

It's Simply Chemistry

Join our COSI Detective and use chemistry to help solve a mystery. Create endothermic and exothermic reactions, make super slime to take home, experience a chemical reaction that produces light without heat, and more.

Invent It!

Get those creative juices flowing as you investigate what makes the world around us tick. See your own ideas come to life as you design your own invention to solve a real-world challenge.

  • Camp Type: Full-Day Weeklong
  • Age Level: Rising 2nd & 3rd Graders
  • Program Date: August 4–8 (9am to 4pm) - This camp will have a Wednesday overnight

In My Garden

One potato, two potatoes, and more and more. We’ll use our senses as we explore. Based on the book Counting in the Garden by Emily Hruby.
