Toddler Workshops

For children ages 18-36 months.

Each month’s workshop experience is designed for you and your toddler to investigate through hands-on activities that enrich the development of social, cognitive, and fine motor skills with lots of time creating and exploring together. COSI’s Toddler Workshops meet once for one hour inside little kidspace™ on COSI’s Level 2.

Teen Tech Studio

Teen Tech Studio Hours:

Wednesdays (3pm-7pm) and Saturdays (10am-5pm)

Special Note: COSI's Teen Tech Studio is now open Wednesdays from 12pm - 3pm for for kids of all ages and their parents (activities best suited for children ages 7+). During these hours, Teen Tech Studio is free, regardless of COSI admission.

Teens can hang out, mess around, and geek out in COSI's Teen Tech Studio during selected hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays to work with COSI mentors and explore technology. COSI's Teen Tech Studio offers multimedia activities for ages 12-19, including audio/video production, 3D modeling, digital art, and video game design.

Using Apple's Logic Pro and Garageband software and audio freeware, COSI's Teen Tech Studio is a fully outfitted audio production space that allows teens to develop their skills in making beats with virtual instruments, using microphones to record voices and acoustic instruments, and taking that audio through the final process of editing and mixing. Teen Tech Studio's video production activities are presented in collaboration with WOSU Public Media and focus on allowing teens to learn lighting, filming, and editing techniques through the use of professional grade DSLR cameras, green screens, and Abode's Premiere software. The Teen Tech Studio also features 3D printers, Makey Makeys, video game consoles, and platforms for game and controller design.

The Incredible Human Machine

The Incredible Human Machine

COSI’s Body Mechanic helps students learn what it takes to keep their body engines in tip-top shape. Explore the digestive, nervous, and circulatory systems, plus learn about nutrients and how exercise keeps a body healthy.

  • Grade Level: Grades K-6


Students interact with a human patient simulator involved in a trauma situation as they simulate the career of a hospital pharmacist. Concepts: human anatomy and physiology, health careers, personal health.

  • Grade Levels: Grades 7-12
  • Number of Students: 12 - 15 per session

Titans of the Ice Age (3D)

This film transports viewers to the beautiful and otherworldy frozen landscapes of North America, Europe and Asia ten thousand years before modern civilization. Peer through the 3D canvas to an ancient world of ice, the dawn of our species. A time when man shared the tundra with majestic woolly beasts.

Tornado Alley (3D)

Follow Sean Casey from Storm Chasers and other researchers from the Vortex 2 project as they chase tornados through tornado alley in the largest scientific mission around storms ever conducted - it is as close as you will ever want to get to a real tornado!
