Hallway Exhibitions

In 2012, COSI initiated an effort to improve the visual appeal and experience of our hallways and circulation spaces. With limited funding, we developed a combination of temporary experiences, painting, and permanent exhibit acquisitions. An effort was made to include content that would appeal to adults as well as family groups. The new experiences are planned with a nod to our permanent exhibit areas and grouped in collections as opposed to singular exhibits.

From gorgeous photography to thought-prevoking collections, enjoy these free, limited-engagement displays on your next visit.

Teen Tech Studio

Teen Tech Studio Hours:

Wednesdays (10am-5pm) and Saturdays (12pm-5pm)

Special Note: COSI's Teen Tech Studio is now open for kids of all ages and their parents (activities best suited for children ages 7+). During these hours, Teen Tech Studio is free, regardless of COSI admission.

Teens can hang out, mess around, and geek out in COSI's Teen Tech Studio during selected hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays to work with COSI mentors and explore technology. COSI's Teen Tech Studio offers multimedia activities for ages 12-19, including audio/video production, 3D modeling, digital art, and video game design.

Using Apple's Logic Pro and Garageband software and audio freeware, COSI's Teen Tech Studio is a fully outfitted audio production space that allows teens to develop their skills in making beats with virtual instruments, using microphones to record voices and acoustic instruments, and taking that audio through the final process of editing and mixing. Teen Tech Studio's video production activities are presented in collaboration with WOSU Public Media and focus on allowing teens to learn lighting, filming, and editing techniques through the use of professional grade DSLR cameras, green screens, and Abode's Premiere software. The Teen Tech Studio also features 3D printers, Makey Makeys, video game consoles, and platforms for game and controller design.
