Astronomy / Space

Calling all future astronomers and astronauts! Join us as we explore our Solar System and what it is like to prepare for a space mission in a workshop that is out of this world. Go behind the scenes of the newly renovated planetarium and enjoy a show after.

Electricity (Progress Exhibit)

Take a trip back in time to COSI’s Progress exhibition where you will learn the beginnings of how electricity changed the face of the Earth. Explore static electricity, magnets and experience 300,000 hair-raising volts with our Electrostatic Generator show.

Backyard Science (Lily Pad Exhibit)

Explore water, land and animals to see how the Earth connects to humans and animals through discoveries in our Lily Pad and Ocean exhibits and COSI’s animal collection.

Chemistry (Gadgets Stage)

Solids, liquids and gasses, Oh My! Explore all three phases of matter as we look into molecules, chemical and physical changes and see an explosive Gadgets stage show.

Gross Science (Life Exhibit)

Yes, you’re disgusting, but we still like you. Explore the truly gross science behind the things your body does every day. Learn about snot, digestion, and the slime that protects your stomach. BLEECH!

Ancient Adventures (Adventure Exhibit)

Work together to unlock the mysteries of COSI’s Adventure exhibition, where we’ll transport you to a remote island, shrouded in mystery, where remnants of an ancient culture guard a secret that only we can unlock.

Engineering Design (Gadgets Exhibit)

Engineers are responsible for designing some of the most amazing structures on our planet. Work together to design and construct bridges, skyscrapers and much more.

Busting Myths

We'll tackle myths and urban legends with real science! Experiment with liquid nitrogen, play tug-of-war with phone books, and find what happens when you mix Mentos with diet soda.
