What's Involved In Submitting An Application?

First, there is no formal form or application form (unless applying for an extension to stay, this requires INS form I-129). An application package must be put together containing appropriate supporting documentation. Here's what a package should contain:
  • Official cover letter written by a hiring authority/official
  • Financial statements from the hiring agency to substantiate their existence
  • Detailed job description stating that some specialize knowledge is necessary
  • Outline specific job duties
  • Need for a degree holding individual
  • Proof of temporary need for employee (state in offer letter that employment is "temporary" and that relocation expenses will be covered"
  • College transcripts
  • Copy of passports
  • Copy of original offer letter stating arrangements for renumeration
  • Cover letter listing package contents
