Mobile Insights Announces Winners of Mobility Awards at Sixth Annual Mobile Insights Conference; Vendors are Recognized at MI 2000 for Outstanding Mobile Computing Products
PALM DESERT, Calif., March 8, 2000--Mobile Insights, Inc. (MI), the leading information source for the mobile computing and data communications markets, announced the winners of its Mobility Awards at the sixth annual Mobile Insights Conference, held this week at the Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert.

Winners were chosen by a select group of 35 mobile computing industry analysts and press representatives. Forty categories of mobile computing hardware and software were on this year's ballot, and more than 260 products were nominated.

"The Mobility Awards have become the award in mobile computing," said Theresa Nozick, VP of Market Research for Mobile Insights. "Among this year's winners are some of the giants as well as some newcomers in mobile computing. This year's ballot was the largest ever. Each year it has expanded to include more categories, reflecting the growing movement toward mobile computing devices and services, including wireless data communications."
