Here's a few noteworthy GIS events happening in the near future. You also may be interested in our summaries and
news posted from last month's GITA conference held in Denver Colorado. The event hosted almost 4,000 visitors and

IGUG 2000: A Computer Graphics Odyssey
May 7-12, Huntsville, Alabama - Find out what the future holds for your industry by attending plenary sessions on Life Cycle Engineering,
Information Management, Worksharing, Communications, Electric, and Gas & Pipeline industry
overviews, and GIS strategic overviews. Other conference highlights include Hands-On Workshops,
SIG Meetings, SIG Cafes, and Tech Town -
Tech Town is a model community of Intergraph and its partners, exhibitors, decision-makers and users. All exhibits, test drives and
demonstrations taking place at IGUG 2000 are housed in Tech Town. The town is zoned into areas of like products and solutions.

Crime Mapping: Adding Value to Crime Prevention and Control
The Conference runs for two days, 20-21 September 2000, at the
Australian Mineral Foundation in Adelaide, South Australia, with pre- and
post-conference workshops scheduled for September 19th and 22nd. A
formal call for papers was issued several months ago, but the
conference organizers are willing to consider late submissions up until
May 31, 2000, with the condition that not all paper submissions can be
accepted. To submit a paper, register, or obtain more information, the
conference coordinators may be contacted by email

site at http://www.aic.gov.au. In addition to what promises to be a great conference, the conference
dates coincide with the Olympic Games held in Sydney, New South

International Conference on GIS in Education
Kindergarten through college educators will gather July 17-19
(with preconference workshops July 15-16) on the California State University, San
Bernardino (CSUSB) campus at a conference sponsored by CSUSB and ESRI and
endorsed by the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science, the
Association of American Geographers, and the National Council for Geographic
Education. This conference promises to help teachers, librarians, and administrators provide critical

MapWorld 2000 - Mapinfo's 7th. Annual Worldwide User Conference
MapInfo's annual world-wide user conference is to be held in San Antonio Texas from April 30 - May 3.
