New Products - MrSID Image Server 2.2


LizardTech, Seattle, Wa., developer of the popular Mr. Sid (Multi-Resolution Seamless Image Database) Image Compression Software has recently started shipping its MrSID Image Server 2.2 - an image serving kit developed to deliver MrSID images to any standard internet web browser. Using the image server, users can view compressed satellite imagery, aerial photos, and other large scanned images typically too large to view over the web due to their massive size.

With LizardTech's patented MrSID Imaging Language, users can offer high-resolution images of virtually any size, directly from their web site. Panning and zooming features allow users to explore detailed images. When zooming in, image quality is preserved at each magnification.
