Both applications are extensible through Visual Basic and include a GPS interface for easy field data collection. SpatialAge Solutions Intelligent Feature Placement allows direct placement of text, graphics and attributes of engineering features into maps, and the ability to import geocoded data. New industry-specific templates eliminate time-consuming, costly customization enabling users to be immediately productive.

The crew from Byers gave me a detailed look at their new products

I have to admit I wasn't very familiar with the Byers' line of products prior to attending last month's GITA Conference, however, after getting some detailed demos from the courteous Byers crew I was very impressed with what I saw. I did question the name "Viewer" which I found implied limited capabilities as far as I was concerned. After viweing the products in action, however, I must say I was very impressed with the slick redlining, annotation, and form production that is enabled by the Viewer Pro and Viewer Plus products. I sure wish I would have had this product at my disposal several years ago when I was doing gas pipeline plan and profile drawings!
