GPS Expert Ralf Platte Joins Sewall to Strengthen Northeast Market
(Old Town, Maine--25 March 2001). James W. Sewall Company announces that Ralf Platte has joined
the firm to strengthen the corporate market for GIS consulting and mapping services in the Northeast.
With B.S. degrees in Surveying Engineering and Forest Management from the University of Maine, Mr.
Platte brings to the position specialized expertise in GPS technology and over 12 years’ experience in
GPS project management, product evaluation, and marketing.
During his career, Mr. Platte has managed major national mapping and surveying projects for industry
firms, implementing the use of GPS and inertial navigation in advanced data collection systems. He has
conducted GPS product testing, evaluation, and client training and developed corporate GPS sales and
support programs throughout the Northeast. His practical, hands-on experience includes all phases of
project development from initial client contact and proposal development to systems implementation
and user training.
