This is a program for high school and college students around the world to work on projects that promote
sustainable development. Their projects will be displayed at the World
Summit for Sustainable Development in Aug. and Sept. 2002 in Johannesburg,
South Africa. We are reminded that when using a geographic approach to sustainable development, students can more completely examine environmental issues.

DMS Digital Mapping Solutions
- DMS has developed IntraMaps - "Web based GIS". The IntraMaps corporate
solution is designed to deliver server based spatial data and linked
aspatial data to the end user in a standard IE5+ browser. No plug ins or
downloads to the local machine. IntraMaps is largely used by Australian local government authorities
(counties in the US) to serve MapInfo (or ESRI .shp) data with the user
given the ability to navigate the map, query, see attribute data in a result
panel and print if required.

a geophysical contractor specialising in potential field studies. A 2 minute grid of the global DEM has been generated and converted into

Johnson County Automated information Mapping System (AIMS) -
AIMS - was initiated by the Board of County Commissioners in the mid-1980s. The
major reason for developing AIMS was to enable the county to meet the rigorous
mapping and documentation requirements of the complete property reappraisal

Established only this month, the GCDB from the BLM. The GCDB is a collection of geographic
information representing the Public Land Survey System (PLSS)
of the United States. The GCDB grid is computed from BLM

file format will soon be available for download.
