COSI Announces Planetarium Opening Date

Planetarium Scheduled To Open November 22, 2014

Columbus, OH – COSI is excited to announce the official opening date of the Planetarium and the selection of a vendor for its new digital Planetarium system.  The Planetarium will open on November 22, 2014.  COSI chose a Digistar 5 digital Fulldome system from Evans and Sutherland which will be installed this fall.

COLUMBUS, OH – COSI celebrates 10 years of bringing the farm to the city with Farm Days: Little Seeds, Big Tractors Wednesday, August 6 through Sunday, August 10.  Farm Days features huge farming equipment, including a Case IH Quadtrac machine which uses rubber treads instead of tires, arranged on the west side of COSI and activities related to Ohio’s largest industry: food and agriculture.

COSI Welcomes New Board Member

Aimee Kennedy has been named to COSI Board

Columbus, OH – Aimee Kennedy has been named to COSI’s volunteer board of trustees.  She is vice president of Education, STEM Learning, and Philanthropy at Battelle.

Kennedy directs Battelle’s efforts to foster innovative educational environments that prepare students for tomorrow’s career and college environment.  Prior to Battelle, she was the Principal/Chief Academic Officer at Metro Early College High School, an Ohio STEM Learning Network platform school founded by Battelle and located on the campus of The Ohio State University.  As principal, Kennedy led the Metro Early College to unprecedented levels of student achievement during her leadership and tenure.

Kennedy earned a bachelor’s degree from Malone University in Communications, a master’s degree in Education from the University of Akron, and is completing a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership at The Ohio State University.

The volunteer Board of Trustees provides dedicated leadership and support, enabling COSI to engage with more than one million individuals every year both on-site and off-site.  There are 13 people on the board.

COSI Welcomes New Board Member

Christopher J. Lambrix has been named to COSI Board

Columbus, OH – Christopher J. Lambrix has been named to COSI’s volunteer board of trustees.  He is Senior Vice President of Retail Business Development for BEF Foods, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bob Evans Farms, Inc.

Lambrix joined the company in 2011 and is responsible for leading the strategic marketing, sales, business development, and customer service activities of the company’s retail grocery business.  Prior to joining BEF Foods, Inc., he was a principal in the consumer and retail practice of A.T. Kearney in Chicago, IL.

Lambrix graduated from Georgetown University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and received his MBA in 1997 from the University of Michigan.
