Try your archaeology skills at the field site and tomb to see what it’s like to uncover, excavate, and preserve ancient art and artifacts.
Uncovering an object is just the beginning of the story. Piece together a crumbling wall of Egyptian art and hieroglyphics to unlock messages left behind by this ancient civilization. Discover the mysteries of mummification hidden inside a full scale replica of an Egyptian tomb. Reveal what’s inside a sealed coffin using remote sensing equipment.
Learn what objects the Egyptians took with them into the afterlife and why. Explore animal mummies to understand their importance in the ancient Egyptian culture. Find out what sorts of animals were kept as pets and why some animals were considered sacred.
