Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs
March 4, 2009 - September 7, 2009

Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs follows researchers and explorers as they piece together the archeological and genetic clues of Egyptian mummies. These relics of the past create a window into the fascinating and mysterious world of the pharaohs. In addition to increasing our understanding of the culture, religion, medicine, and daily life thousands of years ago, scientists today are reconstructing mummy DNA and deciphering ancient texts to gain insight into modern human genetics and advance medical treatments. To unwrap the secrets of the pharaohs is to perhaps glimpse the future of our own civilization. more info...

Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk
May 30, 2009 - November 15, 2009

The Colorado River is the source of power and water for 25 million Americans, but it is at its lowest level since measurements began 85 years ago. Join river advocate Robert Kennedy, Jr., explorer Wade Davis, and their two teenage daughters as they compare the famous river today to the one of thirty years ago to highlight the importance of water conservation. "The environment is the very infrastructure of our communities...if we wish to create communities for our children that provide them with the same opportunities for dignity and enrichment and good health as the communities our parents gave us, then we've got to start protecting the air we breathe and the water we drink" said Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Experience the beauty and majesty of the Grand Canyon and discover the role each of us can play in protecting water resources for generations to come. Produced by the makers of Everest and Hurricane on the Bayou, Grand Canyon Adventure is narrated by Robert Redford and features the music of Dave Matthews Band. more info...
