COSI Columbus | The Science of Big Machines
The Science of Big Machines
July 12th - July 20, 2008

Bulldozers, dump trucks, and backhoes converge in downtown Columbus again this year for COSI’s 6th annual Science of Big Machines. Get behind the wheel and operate equipment that builds roads and buildings!

COSI invites you to explore the science and technology of construction by trying it out first hand in a variety of activities and learning with real engineers.

From small hand tools to big equipment, you’ll discover how big jobs get done. More than a dozen enormous pieces of construction equipment will be on hand to explore.

Climb into the driver’s seat of a mini-excavator to dig and move sand. Operate an all-terrain forklift to lift and move materials around the job site. Get your very own plastic “hardhat” to take home with you. Don't forget... safety first!
