Granite Sphere
Can you move a 5,000 pound sphere? Sure! All it takes is a little water and you can rotate the 5,000 pound (2267.96 kg) granite sphere in any direction.Current Operating Conditions = The Sphere is currently OPEN.
During the winter months, water freezes, so the Granite Sphere is not operational.
Water is being forced out from under the granite sphere at about 10 psi (pounds per square inch). This hydraulic pressure exerts so much force that it overcomes gravity and lifts the sphere a tiny amount. Since the sphere is sitting on top of the water, you can get the ball rolling.
