Pulse Drum
Grasp the handles with both hands. Be sure to hold the brass contacts, but do not squeeze tightly. Sensors in the drum detect the electrical output of the heart. The computer in the drum adjusts the rate of the drumbeat to match your heartbeat. Heartbeats vary from person to person.Your heart uses electrical signals to make its muscle cells contract in order to pump blood throughout your body. These electrical signals can be detected on the surface of your skin by using an electrocardiogram (or this pulse drum). Doctors use an electrocardiogram to monitor patients’ heartbeats.
