Progress TV in 1962

Be on Television in 1962

In 1962, color television was the latest thing! The television studio in Progress is conducting interviews for a news anchor, and you can audition!

Television has come a long way from the mechanical TVs of the mid-1920s. Electrons are fired from an electron gun located inside the television box in response to picture signals sent from the television studio. These electrons strike the picture tube, and the signal is turned into a visible color picture. Black and white televisions simply ignored the color signal sent from the studio.
