Camp COSI
Summer Camps for 12-14 Year-Olds

Teens aren't "too old" for COSI! Check out our intense camps designed to sharpen science learning skills in students ages 12-14. Camps run from 9:00am until 4:00pm and include exploration of COSI’s exhibition areas, a daily snack, hands-on science in our themed workshop rooms, field trips, Extreme Screen films and an overnight stay at COSI!

Register for 3 or more full-day camps or 4 or more half-day camps and receive 10% off each camp. You may register for School’s Out Camps at any time. Call 614.228.2674 to register. Please specify age of camper when registering.
 

Robotics
July 20-24, 2009 (9:00am - 4:00pm)
As a team, design, build, and program a LEGO® robot. By week's end, you and your fellow engineers will have a team of robots that can compete in a robotic event. Includes a visit to an Ohio robotics facility.

Amusement Park Science: Reloaded
July 27-31, 2009 (9:00am - 4:00pm) - SOLD OUT
What thrills people and why? Find out first-hand as you explore the science behind some of the world’s tallest and fastest “scream machines.” End the week with a trip to Cedar Point!

Science of Video Games
August 10-14, 2009 (9:00am - 4:00pm) - SOLD OUT
How are computer games created? Go beyond the fundamental programming concepts and create a completely new game with “Gamemaker” to share with friends and family. Wrap up the week by visiting a state-of-the-art computer game development lab at The Ohio State University.

Big Ships, Big Fish!!!
August 3-7, 2009 (9:00am - 4:00pm) - SOLD OUT
Spend two days at COSI making aquatic science come to life! We'll explore oceanography, marine biology and marine ecology. Then we'll embark on a three-day trip eastward that
includes Baltimore, where we’ll see the National Aquarium, the Baltimore Maritime Museum, and spend the night aboard the U.S.S. Constellation!
