Box Office Work-Study Assistant

Objective
Create a first impression of welcome and warmth to all of COSI's Guests. Set the mood and tone for each Guest's experience at COSI by providing encouragement to explore the Exhibition Areas and to purchase ValuePasses, tickets for our Extreme Screen, and COSI memberships.
Education and Experience
Ideal candidate is a mature, responsible, dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment; is a people-oriented and satisfaction driven person; can handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and possess a flexible schedule. Ability to transmit a welcome greeting while handling cash transactions in an efficient and effective manner necessary. Cash handling experience required. A background in inside sales helpful.
Essential Job Functions
A. Greet and welcome each and every Guest to COSI by being attentive and providing a positive first impression.
B. Help Guests maximize their visit by explaining and selling the ValuePass.
C. Encourage Guests to become COSI Members.
D. Attend Box Office training sessions and various other general COSI meetings.
E. Assist Guests with using the daily schedule to plan their day.
F. Perform daily in accordance to the service and sales standards as outlined by COSI and the Box Office Team.
G. Perform the daily check-in of all reserved groups, including disbursing tickets, wristbands, and maps.
H. Assist Guest Services in providing change and various reimbursements to Guests as needed.
I. Be fiscally accurate by balancing your cash drawer and Memberships sold at the end of each shift.
J. Support general COSI operations through participation in meetings as appropriate.
K. Serve as an example to other COSI Team Members and Volunteers in matters of appearance, attitude, and performance in a manner best serving COSI Team Members, Volunteers, and Guests.
L. In accordance with COSI's Guest Services Strategy and as opportunities present themselves, provide excellence in Guest Services by assuring Guest safety, using courtesy to drive each Guest interaction, by delivering the COSI show, and by keeping operations efficient.
M. Perform other duties, including special projects, as assigned by the Box Office Supervisor(s).
