COSI is now closed

When school is out, COSI is in! Camp COSI Summer Camps provide the perfect opportunity for campers to stay scientific during summer break! Weeklong camps offered for grades K-8. Each camp includes 2 daily snacks and all supplies. Parents and caregivers, please pack a lunch for your camper. With topics like Robotics, Amusement Park Science, and Space, there is sure to be something for every camper!

Camp Hours: 9am – 4pm
Wrap-around Care: 8am – 9am & 4pm – 5pm ($5 each hour)

All Camps Include:

  • Science, technology, engineering, and math content to keep young minds active
  • Hands-on activities in COSI’s workshop rooms and exhibitions
  • Interactions with local scientists and experts
  • Healthy snacks and outdoor physical activities each day
  • Thursday night overnight for campers in grades 2-8

Scholarship applications are now closed for 2017.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations and changes must be made at least 10 days before the first day of any weeklong and 4-day camp; a $75 cancellation fee applies. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations made later than 10 days before the first day of a weeklong camp. COSI may cancel sessions if participant minimums are not met. Registered participants will be informed two weeks in advance and will receive a full refund.

Additional Fees
Please note that selected COSI program reservations are subject to a nominal processing fee. Proceeds from this fee help to support COSI, a not-for-profit organization. For selected programs, transaction fees may be waived for COSI Members as a benefit of membership. Let’s get messy as we try out COSI’s special formulas to create flubber, oobleck, slime and many other way cool concoctions! We’ll investigate physical changes, chemical changes, and phase changes as we make things pop, ooze, and slime.

Do you have the stuff it takes to become an astronaut and boldly go where no one has gone before? Spend a week with us learning about our Solar System, rockets, and the wonders of space including a visit to COSI’s Planetarium.

Jump into building and programming robots using Bee Bots and LEGO® WeDo technology. How do robots make our lives better? What makes a robot a robot? Learn the answers to these questions and more as we dive into the world of robotics.

Explore the science of motion and the physics behind thrill rides, and then put your knowledge (and courage) to the test. We’ll be going behind the scenes at Kings Island and spending the day at the park riding the best roller coasters and learning what it takes to make them work.

July 31-Aug 4, 2017 – Electronics Prototyping

Plug into the world of electronics and learn how the components in your everyday devices are wired and programmed. Campers will build a foundation in circuitry and coding through Snap Circuits and MIT’s Scratch. They will then expand their knowledge using the Arduino microcontroller and coding language and apply their new skills by programming sensors and LED lights.
